Bush School Day 24bab634-c823-4d80-bff7-90656794b9ea

On Wednesday 5 November the whole school ventured beyond the school and into Samson Park where they spent the whole day in a Bush Classroom creating, inventing, exploring and imagining.

Our Year 6/7 students led mixed-age groups of students from Kindy to Year 5 through various activities in the bush. There were 13 stations that involved a range of interesting activities including; snake bite survival, learning ropes and knots, aboriginal style art, yoga, scavenger hunt, botany treasures, blindfold obstacle course, charcoal drawings, bead making, garlands and crowns, fairy gardens and weaving.

What a wonderful day was had by all! The kids loved it. Thank you to the Year 6/7 who demonstrated their leadership skills and their caring skills.  Thank you also to all the parents, volunteers and teachers for all your fabulous help throughout the day. A very special thank you to Debra our Year 2/3 teacher who organised the day.
